We are so excited to announce that we are getting married!
Colin and I proposed to each other in The Lightning Field, an artwork in New Mexico created by the artist, sculptor, and musician Walter De Maria. This is a place that is actually unmarked on any map and you can only enter through a lottery system managed by the artwork’s caretakers at the Dia Art Foundation. Only six people can go at once to experience this one mile x one kilometer wide piece for a 24 hour period. We proposed to each other in the early morning with neighboring gazelles, rising pink clouds, and a smuggled in synthesizer piano around us.
We’re looking forward to celebrating with everyone - and really, we mean everyone is invited - at the city of LA’s rose garden located between USC (Sarah’s Alma Mater) and the Science Center (the LA version of the place where we had our very first not-a-date date at the Cabot Space & Science Center in Oakland)!

A bit about Colin: Colin (aka Coco) is a time traveller from the future, helping us all catch up. He is a roboticist, mechanical engineer, and currently a rocket engineer at SpaceX.
A bit about Sarah: Sarah (aka Shew, Shewz, Shewbacca) is the founder of CEO of Happily. She is a sustainable event producer, board member of dublab.com, and a closet gamer.
Together, they have co-invented the world’s first underwater projector.
